Alpine rose honey - a rarity from the Alpine blossom
Alpine rose honey is a rare delicacy from the high-altitude regions of the Alps. It is made from the nectar of the bright pink blooming alpine roses (Rhododendron ferrugineum), which only grow above 1,500 metres above sea level. The honey is characterised by its particularly fine, flowery flavour and its light, slightly reddish appearance.
