Kredeli olive paste has an intense flavour of fresh olives with a subtle bitter note on the finish. A Mediterranean explosion of flavour.

The origin.

The Kredeli organic Koroneiki olive paste is produced by Giannis Kopanakis from Sitia in the wild east of Crete. With his philosophy of life "It's all about balance." he gives nature the upper hand in his garden. Countless creatures find a home among the many plants and herbs that grow in his olive grove. That's how organic should be, we think.

The production.

The organic Koroneiki olives are harvested by hand at an early stage of ripeness. This enables us to achieve a so-called early harvest Quality with a particularly high number of valuable ingredients. The olives are traditionally left to ripen in brine for months. The flesh is then grated from the stone. The crushed olives are bottled cold (raw food) and sealed with a layer of olive oil.

The use.

Kredeli olive paste harmonises with toasted bread, tomatoes and feta cheese. It is a highlight as a spread, for bruscetta, as a dip and with tacos. It also enhances pasta and vegetable dishes and cheese toast. Please do not heat to preserve all the valuable ingredients.

Our olive paste is made by hand in small batches. Possible traces of pits are included. For a long shelf life, make sure that the sealing and oxygen-protecting layer of olive oil is retained. Top up if necessary.
