In the Middle Ages, pepper was weighed out in gold and was a common means of payment. This meant that you sometimes received a "peppery bill". Today, the spicy flavour no longer costs the earth. Fortunately, because we grate it generously over salads, meat, vegetables and desserts. By the way, we know where the pepper grows: in our cultivation project in Tanzania.
